We are so excited you have booked a Little Mover shoot with us and we can't wait to see you at our studio!
Hopefully all the information you need is below, but feel free to contact us if we have missed anything or if you have any other questions.
Where to find us
Our address is Little Luma, Unit 4 Rooktree Farm, Hulcote, Milton Keynes MK17 8BW. This address is easy to find using sat nav or Google maps. We are at the end of a winding country road, the road bends to the right and you keep following until you get to a large gateway at the end of the road, go straight through and the car park is sign posted straight ahead. Parking is free and there is always plenty available. The studio is clearly sign posted, near the far end of the car park. We will keep an eye out and try and meet you outside. Very occasionally, we will still have another client on site. If this is the case, there will be a 'shoot in progress' sign on our door. If the gates to the site happen to be locked (on weekends and out of hours), we will meet you at the gate to let you in. Should you need any help getting to or finding us, Lucy's number is 07776344124.
Before your shoot day
We have a selection of outfits and sizes in our wardrobe which you will have full access to as well as all the props and toys you will need for the shoot. Of course if there is something you would love to see your child in then by all means bring this along. We try to avoid heavy branding or character clothing and work with neutral, tonal, textural palette of whites, creams and beiges, so the focus remains purely on your little one. Take a look at the galleries for an idea of what works well. Generally within the shoot window we will choose one outfit, possibly two if we achieve the shots we want quite quickly, so you won't need a vast number of clothing options.

For your Little Mover shoot we have a selection of different short and long dungarees, jumpsuits, shorts, jumpers and rompers, covering sizes 0 - 24 months. If you know your baby is wearing a different size to these listed, and you have a few neutral vests or layers you think would work well then great, please do bring these along too.

What do I Wear?
If you would like to be photographed with your little one, then we generally suggest white, beige or cream casual clothing that you are comfortable in. Chunky knit jumpers or tops with blue or black denim jeans always works well. We tend to avoid heavy branding, imagery or text on your clothing if possible as it can often become too prominent in the photos.

It is often best to shoot as soon as you and your little one are ready, when the environment is new and exciting and they want to interact with the toys and props we have on set. For this reason if you can come shoot ready with you little ones nails freshly cut and their hair how you would like it to be photographed we are ready to go as soon as your little ones outfit is on and everyone is comfortable.

You will get an email reminder of your booking 48 hours before your shoot day.

At the studio
The studio is all on one level and accessible without the use of steps. We have on site baby changing facilities, a client toilet and a small fridge if you need to store any milk or food for your baby.

We have a selection of toys and books available for your child to use while they are not on set, and an area allocated next to set for you to comfortably watch the shoot.
When you arrive
After welcoming you to the studio, we will show you the clothing options available before getting on set. With your help we will get your child dressed and ready.
We try and make the whole process exciting and will explain everything to your child so that they are comfortable and relaxed. Everything we do is child-led.

We will take a few test images to check your child is happy with the flash photography and so that they know what to expect and all being well we will role with the shoot.
On the shoot
Both myself (Lucy) and Emma will be present throughout your shoot. As we mentioned when booking, with the relaxed style of these shoots it is always best to keep the number of people in the studio to a minimum.
You will stay next to the set at all times in a comfortable viewing area. Generally Emma will interact with your little one and if you are comfortable with her doing so she will lift your child on and off set when needed. If however you or your child is uncomfortable with this then we may ask for your help and participation in keeping them on set.

The actual shoot could take the whole allocated time or be finished in 10 minutes, either way please do not be worried or offended, we just know when we have got the shots and we know its best to finish at a good time, rather than push a child too far.

We don't have a set format of images we create, we shoot what works on the day and work with you/your child.

When we have completed the shoot, we will ask for the remaining payment to be made at the studio by cash or card.
After the shoot
Following the shoot, we will email you to let you know that your images are available to view in your very own password protected gallery. Your Gallery can be found under the Gallery tab in our main menu. Here you will login using your guest password and scroll to find your personal shoot folder. Only you will have access to your personal shoot folder using the password sent to you.

Take your time looking through all the images and then email us which ones you'd like as the final selection included in your package. We will then send you the final images over, watermark removed and ready to download. If you'd like additional images on top of what's included in your package, take a look at our shop for more options.
Sickness/cancellation/rescheduling etc.
Sickness | As parents ourselves, we understand that at a moments notice your little one can suddenly be feeling unwell and plans have to change at the last minute, so please do contact us if there is anything that will prevent you making your shoot. We would much rather you didn't attend if anyone in your party is ill, than risk the health of anyone else we have visiting the studio, so we will do our best to work with you to reschedule a shoot date when you are well again.

Cancellations | We don't tend to allow for cancellations unless under extenuating circumstances. We will treat cancellation requests at our discretion, generally we hope to find a way to rescheudule or find an alternative that works for you and your family. In the event you do have to cancel we will retain the non-refundable deposit as your cancellation fee.

Rescheduling | Once you have booked your shoot and created an account with us you will be able to login to view and amend your bookings on our site.

Bumps, cuts or bruises | It will be typical that your child will bang their head and get a bruise a few days before your shoot. If this does happen and you are worried about how it'll look in the photos, please send us an image to info@littleluma.co.uk and we will advise you. 99% of the time these can be edited out.
See you soon!
If you do have any questions regarding your shoot then please get in touch. If however you think you have all the information you need then you can relax safe in the knowledge we have everything sorted and we look forward to welcoming you to the studio soon.
